And I'm not aware of the journal trouble you mention.
I've seen it reported in some forum posts, many of them referencing the Ubuntu Wiki (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/XFS)
"The journal is currently not 32-bit / 64-bit portable. Before mounting a xfs prevously used on 32-bit linux in 64-bit linux (or different arch) the journal has to be emptied using xfs_repair."
Weird. This machine is 64 bit, I have a few xfs partitions, and a few installed opensuse systems, one of them 32 bit, the rest 64 bit. I didn't have any problem. I also have some external HDs formatted XFS with a 32 bit machine, and I use them with this 64 bit machine. Maybe it is an issue if the partition was not cleanly umounted. - -- Cheers, Carlos E. R.
