My firm has had a /48 for a year or so - no extra cost. Hetzner in
Germany provides IPv6 for their leased servers at no extra cost.
Some people think that size of subnet will cause a shortage of IPv6 addresses. However, even with just 1/8th of all IPv6 addresses being allocated for unicast addresses, that still leaves enough for over 35 trillion /48 subnets.
