Into the last week i have some problems with a new upgraded system.
That
system is worked well for 1 week, then the last weekend it locked
up. It
is alive, terminal switching is working but if i write into the login
and press enter, it locks up. From the external, the machine
answers to
the ping, but any service is present (syn-synack done), but no
response
(connection hangs).

I am now thinking can be a problem of the new kernel, but i am not
sure.
Can be also an hardware problem, i dunno... For that cause i need an
external opinion... What i can do to debug this?

When the system freezes due to over heating CPU/memory /MB/Daughter
boards the same symptoms appear. You might want to check the hardware.

It seems the problem is fixed adding "noacpi" to the kernel boot string,
now is up from 2 days, and no signal of freeze.... I hope the problem is
solved. For the others, with a similar problem, i say to try it.

Cordially,

Claudio Prono.
