A SUSE Studio Live CD image works well inside the Studio, but does not work on real hardware. The system boots, and even some error windows appear on the X screen which indicates the video driver is working. But the messages say some files are missing.
If to switch to console it becomes evident that a half of needed files are missing from the file system.
Some basic commands do not work, for example, rpm --help says that the rpm library has "invalid ELF format". The same message occurs when trying to execute some other commands.
I thought this could happen due to damaged media, but I verified the content. I also tried on two different computers.
Seems indeed due to bad media. After rewrite works well. Just curious why the data verification did not report any errors. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
