A backup will indeed be done. I have this madness slated for this

I have installed the 32-bit version of 11.4 on a system. I have decided
that I would like to try the 64-bit version. I expect that the only way
to do this is to do a re-install. But I thought I would ask if there was
an alternative. Anyone know of one? Perhaps I will generate an autoyast
description of my system, and change it to specify a 64-bit version, and
then do the install with that. Any other suggestions welcome. It is not
a production system.
It is possible to upgrade, but it is not supported. Do a full backup
first.
I did 11.0 (32) --> 11.2 (64), via DVD.
