I have no idea what the technical reason for it is, but the screen will be fine, the about ~ 20-40 seconds there is 1 pronounced "flicker" you can't miss, then the display looks normal for the next 20-40 secs.
I primarily see it on my dual-head box.
Are you running a nvidia chipset?

Hi,
I'm using 11.4 here, and the screen flickers every 30 s in KDE4. It is
possible to trigger this by stopping and starting the "Display
Management change monitor" service in KDE service manager, although
stopping the service doesn't eliminate the flicker. I should also add
that this didn't occur with factory some weeks ago.
Has anyone else seen this? Does anyone know of a way to make this stop?
Regards,
Peter
