but can you comment on the stability of this PCLOS?

This *is* an openSUSE list.....

While what you say is true, the OP *IS* very much a beginner who
originally asked his question in this forum maillist regarding openSUSE
and *I* answered him suggesting to him that he look at PCLinuxOS FIRST
because of his requirements and that I felt it more suited to his
INITIAL needs as a convert from Doze and that he would probably end up
with openSUSE as he gained experience because of its' completeness. As
PCLinuxOS does not have a mailing list and as GENERAL questions about
Linux regardless of distro aren't totally inappropriate for this forum,
and given that the OP isn't yet in a position to know where to ask
what, it was reasonable to ask questions here. The particular question
was about a particular distro, which might have been better asked in the
PCLinuxOS FORUM, and thankfully, a later reply gave the OP the link to
that FORUM as an answer. I suggest that would have been a better
response than a curt 'get lost, you're in the wrong place' type reply to
an admitted newbie. Don'tcha think?

Richard

Did you notice who posted the forum link?

Yes, you did, and I worded my response poorly I guess, I suppose I should have
said
that your your later information should have been included in addition to, or
instead
of a curt reply <grin>.
