Just a word of caution.
Using cd/dvd/blu-ray for long-term storage is not advised.
Heard many stories that valuable stuff (photo's, music, original docs)
coud not be retrieved after a year.
If you want to use them, create fresh backup's each year.

Or better, use dedicated external USB-drives or tapes.

And finally, don't put your trust on a single item:
Multipe backups, stored at different locations (fire, water, collaps,
theft, ...) Better safe than sorry and some things can't be replaced.
