Same question here. I'm ogling the QNAP TS-259 Atom series because they have enough grunt to run Squeezeboxserver and are x86 so it can use various codecs. My concerns are fan noise and their alleged use of a hacked up ext3.5 filesystem. Any users here? What about Synology NASen?

I had been looking at the Lacie 1TB d2 Network 2 But not sure right now PC World are doing the WESTERN DIGITAL My Book World Edition Network Hard Drive - 1TB for £99.00 right now but i have seen a few people saying they get too hot and the drives fail because of the heat so the price is right ok thou ..
