Recently installed openSuSE 11.3 on my PC (having run 11.0, 11.1, 11.2 each time using the appropriate version of the Novell Client for Linux (as I dwell in a NetWare shop)) and using the NCL 2.0 sp2 (like I did on openSuSE 11.2) I was able to run the login script, etc. like the Win users so when they have file and folder questions I can 'see' what they were seeing, etc. Recently, the week of Oct 18th, I installed some updates that broke NCL?! Un-installed NCL via YAST, rebooted, re-installed it - the usual stuff - but still not working. I rolled back a version or two of the kernel, hoping that was the solution, but it's still broken. When I tag the Novell login tray icon I get the error 'Cannot scan Connection References. Error:NWCCScanConnRefs:' Within the description box I see the file ncpConnectionRefScanner.cpp is listed with a line reference and so on... Anyone else seeing this type of NCL breakage? At the moment, I'm trying to roll back my updates to get to the point of functionality but still no luck after a few days... Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
