I pulled zlib from /Archiving/SLE_11/ which provided a lot of excellent updates
to compression libs and apps. All worked great except for zlib. First indication
of a problems was yast sw_single exploding with the following:

YaST got signal 11 at YCP file XML.ycp:3
/sbin/yast2: line 421: 7746 Segmentation fault $ybindir/y2base $module
"$@" "$SELECTED_GUI" $Y2_GEOMETRY

At first I thought I had pulled in an incompatible Qt library, but then I found
the following which pointed to libz and the solution:
