I have a new openSUSE 11.2 system with this display: DELL P170S 17" TFT The graphics in the system (cannot change it...) is a ATI chipset with only a VGA connector. X says this on the system: (II) RADEON(0): Found color CRT connected to primary DAC (II) RADEON(0): Output: VGA-0, Detected Monitor Type: 1 (II) RADEON(0): Total number of valid Screen mode(s) added: 0 (II) RADEON(0): Output: DVI-0, Detected Monitor Type: 0 (II) RADEON(0): Output VGA-0 connected (II) RADEON(0): Output DVI-0 disconnected (II) RADEON(0): Using fuzzy aspect match for initial modes (II) RADEON(0): Output VGA-0 using initial mode 1024x768 In fact, the display can operate at 1280x1024. But as autodetection is not functioning, it is operating in 1024x768. Does anyone just happen to have the mode lines and all for this monitor? I would previously have used SaX for this, but... -- Roger Oberholtzer OPQ Systems / Ramböll RST Ramböll Sverige AB Krukmakargatan 21 P.O.
