Whenever you go to a kernel version outside the supported repository, you need to compile the proprietary driver yourself. Not difficult. Available at Nvidia site, with instructions for openSUSE.
i'm aware of that and tried it. half through the compilation process i got the message that the kernel driver couldn't be built. no further explanation (perhaps an error no. which i don't remember). and yes, i have kernel source installed. in the meantime i found in different forums & blogs people who claim that 2.6.36 nvidia drivers don't yet work -- whatever that may mean. -- phani. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
