No problems to open GIMP.
I have not had problems opening Gimp either.
Anything else? What you are trying to open? Remote files? What application is calling GIMP?
In the present case, I wasn't trying to open anything yet. I clicked on the Gimp icon in the Panel, and the error came up. I have done that before without the error. I see that I can open Giimp with Alt-F2 without an error, so the problem must be in the button in the Panel. I think I'll delete the button and make t again. --
