Is the ipw2100 driver broken? Does anyone have this problem with other WLAN hardware?
I'm using the iwlagn driver on my laptop. While I normally do not have trouble with it, during my last vacation I could not connect to the WLAN of the hotel I was staying in. I could see the network, but not connect to it, until I also entered the MAC address of the access point in my config (using traditional ifup). If desperate, you might try that, too.
