True... but.. it's old and desperately needs to be updated. As I said.. 256.35 is the latest driver. Install it... see if your video problems are still there. I had significant graphical issues with KDE4 until I updated the vid drivers.
This is very strange. If openSUSE offers KDE4, should not it provide the drivers as well that KDE4 can work with?
KDE4 works with the Nouveau driver... kind of... it also works with 195.. kinda. If someone is bumping into graphical artifacts wile use KDE4 and either Nouveau or a really old nVidia binary driver... they can't blame KDE4 for that... it's a driver issue. For example, icons on the taskbar would "glitch" and turn into a messy blob of colors... it's been discussed in a few places.. solution.. install the latest nVidia driver. Why is 195 the latest available instead of 256? Lack of a maintainer? See this thread: http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-factory/2010-07/msg00391.html By the way installing the binary nVidia driver compiling is a royal pain in 11.3... involves disabling KVM and blacklisting Nouveau among other things.
