        Identifier "touchpad catchall"
        Driver  "synaptics"
        MatchIsTouchpad "on"
        MatchDevicePath "/dev/input/event*"
        Option  "HorizScrollDelta"      "0"
        Option "TapButton1" "1"
EndSection

You could backup your existing 20-synaptics.conf and make a new one with that 
code in it perhaps. Log out then log in again.
