I went to /var/lib/NetworkManager and tried to delete NetworkManager.state instead of your suggestion for NetworkManager.status as I think that is what you meant. I couldn't delete the file, so I moved it to my /home/Documents directory to get it out of the way. Then I did an rcnetwork restart. Here is what I got in terminal when I did that: rcnetwork restart Shutting down network interfaces: eth0 device: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8101E/RTL8102E PCI Express Fast Ethernet controller (rev 02) eth0 done wlan0 device: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. So I switched to the Network manager method and tried to start the knetworkmanager. When I tried to do this in Yast, I get a dialog box saying ERROR No Network running No NetworkManager icon appears in the taskbar. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
