I have already reported long ago: https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=581035 but seems nobody is interested to fix. This was the main reason i migrated from Ubuntu to SUSE and now the same problem of SUSE.
Basically, it's very annoying to have the screen blanking every 10 minutes, especially when streaming TV or watching a DVD.
These tools should disable the blanking while they run. If they don't, and it is not configurable, report the bug.
So, does anyone know where I might find the necessary setting(s) to disable the display power management entirely?
I know how to disable power-off of the monitor, ie, dpms. It is an option in the xorg file.
