this minute) suggested using a whole lot of ALSA stuff, but
altho I believe ALSA is installed, I cannot seem to find a way
to dump Amarok and switch to ALSA. Besides, Amarok works on
one or more live distros that I've tried, so why doesn't it work
on SuSE?
(I just read a report from somebody on the list that says that
11.3, about to be released for d/l and sale, also has sound problems.
What on earth is going on here?)
I have been playing the Linux game for quite a few years, but I still
consider myself a novice. I have been with SuSE since the revs came with
2 fat books. I haven't been particularly interested in sound and video
until recently, but now that I am, I'm beginning to
wonder if I shouldn't switch to a distro that lets it work without
all this finagling. I would have to say that unless I can get this
working pretty soon, that will be my only option.
Thanx for trying, Rajko. Do you have any other suggestions?
