Yup.. easy fix is to upgrade to a 2.6.34 kernel - you can get that by
adding the Kernel Head repository:
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Kernel:/HEAD/openSUSE_11.2/
and then installing the latest 2.6.34 kernel

This is an issue I've bumped into on several laptops I've installed
11.2 on. There is some kind of sleep mode or state that the WiFi card
gets placed into and it won't wake up unless your restart or use some
other low level tricks to restart the WiFi card. There are some CLI
commands you can issue that will work around the problem... I've had
limited/mixed success. The most reliable fix is to bump up to a newer
kernel where the patches and fixes have been applied.

Should those issues not be reported to bugzilla.novell.com in order to include
the fixes into the next official kernel update for openSUSE 11.2?
