A recent update has left me unable to albums and pictures to my web
gallery.

openSUSE 11.2 x86_64
kernel-desktop-2.6.31.13-18.1.x86_64
apache2-2.2.15-16.1.x86_64
gallery2 v2.3.1   (installed using gallery2's package - as I have done
                   for several years)
php5-5.3.2-23.4.x86_64

When attempting to add an album I get the response that the connection
has been closed before receiving data for the request.

/var/log/apache2/errors shows:

[Sun Jun 13 12:22:53 2010] [notice] child pid 26923 exit signal
Segmentation fault (11)

Changes that I can document or remember since last successfully adding
albums and pictures to gallery2:
