This is why issues such as "convergence theory" became important.
And philosophical buzz words don't help.
"Convergence theory" - how to determine how fast a particular algorithm
will converge to the end result or any particular approximation thereof
is a very PRACTICAL study, especially when applied to user interfaces -
which you were asking about.
