which brings the question, of what use is a compiler that doesn't have make?
The compiler is perfectly useful without make. There are many other scripting languages and build managers besides make, and there are several different versions of make besides gnu make. It is completely correct that the gcc package does not include make. Make is perfectly useful without gcc too for that matter. It's just a scripting language. You can use make to script anything, not just gcc. -- bkw -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
