The problem that I had with VBox was that the OSE stuff kept getting installed 
in preference to downloaded version.  I resolved it by removing all the OSE 
stuff and setting them to taboo.  Then I installed the package and it worked 
fine. I think that you may be able to make use of the x11 and toolbox stuff 
from OSE, iirc.
