When editing document, the status bar at the bottom has places for text
to be located, but the various places are empty. A few of them will get
text when I click on them, but most stay empty. Of course, when I click
on them, they also change value.

It is build 3.2.0.7

Anyone else see this?

https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=561170

CC yourself and add your notes, maybe that helps to get the OO people
working
on this.

OpenOffice_org-3.2.0.7-1.1.x86_64
on 11.2, nVidia

Not seeing the missing text problem. Could it be related to video card
brand?

As I commented in the bugzilla report, if I start ooffice as

OOO_FORCE_DESKTOP=kde ooffice

all is ok. Then it has a different look and feel, but the various labels
are correct. The default is OOO_FORCE_DESKTOP=kde4

Of course, the kde4 look might be exercising X server issues. Your guess
is as good as mine. I am using the open source ATI driver, as I
mentioned elsewhere in this thread.
