Hello:
Is it possible to select different package repositories for YAST "Online update" and "Software Management" in openSUSE 11.2? I have several repos configured in YAST "Software Repositories", however I don't want all of them to be used when I do Online update. For online update I want only the official "update" repo. It is very tedious to disable all the other repos before online update and turning them back after online update is done.
It would work incorrectly, if it were possible.
Sometimes an update needs a package that is not installed and needs to, from the oss repo (for example). In your case, update would complain or fail.
It is designed to work this way.
But does update require any repos other than the original openSUSE release repos? I agree that having update not look at any of the other optional repos would be useful. -- Roger Oberholtzer Ramböll RST/OPQ Ramböll Sverige AB Krukmakargatan 21 P.O.
