Ahoy!
If you use Folder View as a desktop or as a widget, then right click inside it and select Create New...->Link to Application, then fill out the Application tab with the details of your executable script.
If you don't use Folder View, in Dolphin or Konqueror, open up the folder where you want to create the .desktop file launcher for your script, Create New... as above then drag the new launcher to the desktop, and you will get an icon on the desktop.
As it is a script, maybe it requires a terminal? In the menu Will mentioned, look under Application->Advanced Options. There you can control the terminal. I find this a most useful thing for non-gui scripts. Especially the control over whether the terminal remains after the app is finished running. -- Roger Oberholtzer OPQ Systems / Ramböll RST Ramböll Sverige AB Krukmakargatan 21 P.O.
