Firefox 3.6 uses a new java plugin- libnpjp2.so. Search your JAVA version for the file and make a symlink in /usr/lib/browser-plugins. For example mine is linked to:
/usr/lib/jvm/jre-1.6.0-sun/lib/i386/libnpjp2.so
Well, doing this you'll probably broke your system in future. Java plugins are maintained by update-alternatives system, probably gets wrong. What's the /usr/sbin/update-alternatives --display javaplugin says? Regards Michal Vyskocil
