Hi Malcolm, Sorry, but your report is a bit chaotic - I'm trying to make some sense of it, but let's see
My desktop seems to have crashed.
So it does not boot anymore?
I am unable to install.
Or is it only when you try to install?
There are 2 disks but only sda can be run which shows on the list when I switch on.
Are there two *physical* harddisks connected? Has it been like that from the very beginning, or have you added a disk? If so, when? Which 'list' are you talking of when switching on? And what do you mean with 'can be run'?
As far as I can remember all I had to do was put a Suse disk in and install Suse.
So what exactly happens when you try to do that? Please step-by-step discribe what you are doing (selecting menu entries, perssing buttons etc.)
What would be a wonderful reply would be a simple way of deleting Suse 11.0 on sda and deleting sdb and then just be able to install.
Why do you want to 'delete' sdb? You mean formating it? Or not having it in the system? For the latter, disconnect it... Pit -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
