I'm running opensuse 11.2 and have fired up Gnome which so far beats KDE4.
Unnecessary and inflammatory remark!
It does have one annoying 'feature' and that is a popup that announces you have tried to start an Untrusted Application. Does anyone know how to defeat that rascal?
iirc, this *used* to be related to the local security settings and having permissions set to the secure profile but I cannot find that settings manager in the present yast :^(. .. Just found it .. YaST2 -> "Security and Users" -> "Local Security" -> "Use secure file permissions" -> "Configure" -> "File Permissions" You probably have this set to "Secure" or "Paranoid", change to "Easy" and I believe the notices will disappear. Please consider posting w/o the innuendo. It contributes nothing. -- Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://counter.li.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
