I  have a plugin for Thunderbird that randomly selects a quotation from
one of a number of "fortune cookie" files.
See "man fortune".
I just downloaded a pile of cookie files from the 'Net.

It amazes me how often people seem to want to comment on them or argue
with them.

Sometimes, though, this random generator seems to be more of an
'apropos' generator.
