After this morning update (zypper up), Amarok stop working.
Trying to start it from konsole. I get the following:
----------------------------------------
amarok(11800)/kdecore (KSycoca): Trying to open ksycoca from
"/var/tmp/kdecache-andre/ksycoca4"
<unknown program name>(11792)/: Communication problem with
"amarok" , it probably crashed.
Error message was:
"org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown" : " "The

name org.kde.amarok was not provided by any .service files"
"

Anybody has a clue?

Thanks,

Andre.

Hi
Yes. That happened to me too. The update installed amarok 2.2.
I used Yast to downgrade it to 2.1.1 and all was well again.

Tried on new created user, (empty .kde4, local, etc...) without
luck..

At leat 1.4 works ;-(

I just installed 4.3.5 and other updates this morning using YaST. I
retained my old Amarok (did not allow it to update) My Amarok is:

amarok-2.2.1-46.2.x86_64
KDE 4.3.5
openSUSE 11.2 x86_64

All my multimedia files are from Packman. Did you use the packman
files as recommended?

Not sure if the above will help you.

As soon as I click on a playlist it plays instantly.
