I just bought a new printer, a Samsung ML-2851ND. Thought "OK, let's install that thing". Just out of curiosity I watched /var/log/messages when I connected it (it has network, but I'm using USB at the moment). What do I see?

I wish I could say the same for an Epson all-in-one wireless. It only works when I connect via USB. I have not figured out why. Epson provide some brain dead software to set it up. It wants to connect to another computer, not the printer. Even though it says it supports wireless access to the printer. -- Roger Oberholtzer OPQ Systems / Ramböll RST Ramböll Sverige AB Krukmakargatan 21 P.O.
