I am attempting to install "Ekiga" soft phone which, as its developers say, "shipped with openSuSE v11.1"; oS v11.1 is what I am running. Ekiga does appear in the YaST list.
When I accept installation,
If it doesn't appear on the *YaST* list, where does it appear to allow you to *accept* installation?
YaST presents a list of dependencies to be downloaded too, and asks for the DVD. That's as far as it gets, because the packages required to satisfy the dependencies are not present on the DVD, nor apparently anywhere else, so the following error message appears.
***** Error: IO:Failed to provide Package libsigc++2-2.2.2-40.37. Do you want to retry retrieval?
Disable the dvd as a repository and add the online ones.
Can someone suggest where these packages might be, so that I can download them?
use the force, luke: http://software.opensuse.org/search webpin libsigc++2 pin libsigc++2 You apparently like to ask questions here, but do not read the forum. ps. No need to download them, install them with YaST2 from the repositories 15:52 wahoo:~/work.tmp > webpin -d 11.1 ekiga 19 results (4 packages) found for "ekiga" in openSUSE_111 * ekiga: A Gnome based SIP/H323 teleconferencing application - 3.0.1 [suse-oss] - 3.2.6 [home:/kommerck | GNOME:/Factory] - 3.0.2 [home:/wrosenauer:/GNOME:/Community | home:/hschaa:/ekiga] - 3.2.5 [home:/dimstar:/branches:/GNOME:/Factory] * ekiga-debuginfo: Debug information for package ekiga - 3.2.6 [home:/kommerck | GNOME:/Factory] - 3.0.2 [home:/wrosenauer:/GNOME:/Community | home:/hschaa:/ekiga] * ekiga-debugsource: Debug sources for package ekiga - 3.2.6 [home:/kommerck | GNOME:/Factory] - 3.0.2 [home:/wrosenauer:/GNOME:/Community] * ekiga-lang: Languages for package ekiga - 3.0.1 [suse-oss] - 3.2.6 [home:/kommerck | GNOME:/Factory] - 3.0.2 [home:/wrosenauer:/GNOME:/Community | home:/hschaa:/ekiga] - 3.2.5 [home:/dimstar:/branches:/GNOME:/Factory] 15:54 wahoo:~/work.tmp > webpin libsigc++2 20 results (14 packages) found for "libsigc++2" in openSUSE_112 * libsigc++2: Typesafe Signal Framework for C++ - 2.2.4.2 [suse-oss | GNOME:/Factory] * libsigc++2-32bit: Typesafe Signal Framework for C++ - 2.2.4.2 [suse-oss | GNOME:/Factory] * libsigc++2-debuginfo: Debug information for package libsigc++2 - 2.2.4.2 [GNOME:/Factory] * libsigc++2-debuginfo-32bit: Debug information for package libsigc++2 - 2.2.4.2 [GNOME:/Factory] * libsigc++2-debuginfo-x86: Debug information for package libsigc++2 - 2.2.4.2 [GNOME:/Factory] * libsigc++2-debugsource: Debug sources for package libsigc++2 - 2.2.4.2 [GNOME:/Factory] * libsigc++2-devel: Typesafe Signal Framework for C++ - 2.2.4.2 [suse-oss | GNOME:/Factory] * libsigc++2-x86: Typesafe Signal Framework for C++ - 2.2.4.2 [GNOME:/Factory] * mingw32-libsigc++2: MinGW Windows port of the typesafe signal framework for C++ - 2.2.4.2 [windows:/mingw:/win32:/legacy | windows:/mingw:/win32] * mingw32-libsigc++2-debug: Debug information for package mingw32-libsigc++2 - 2.2.4.2 [windows:/mingw:/win32:/legacy | windows:/mingw:/win32] * mingw32-libsigc++2-devel: MinGW Windows port of the typesafe signal framework for C++ (development files) - 2.2.4.2 [windows:/mingw:/win32:/legacy | windows:/mingw:/win32] * mingw64-libsigc++2: MinGW Windows port of the typesafe signal framework for C++ - 2.2.4.2 [windows:/mingw:/win64] * mingw64-libsigc++2-debug: Debug information for package mingw64-libsigc++2 - 2.2.4.2 [windows:/mingw:/win64] * mingw64-libsigc++2-devel: MinGW Windows port of the typesafe signal framework for C++ (development files) - 2.2.4.2 [windows:/mingw:/win64] -- Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://counter.li.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
