[opensuse] partitioning support for new 4K sector drives to achieve optimum performance

Please vote for: https://features.opensuse.org/306443 in order to have
opensuse 11.3 optimise partition layouts to the underlying hardware.
background:
The kernel and parted have been improved in the last year to allow
optimum alignment of partitions with this new class of drives as well
as with mdraid etc.
I believe it will take a change to the opensuse installer to leverage
these changes. ie. parted now needs to be called with a new command
line arg.
I've looked in openfate and #306443 is not exactly the same request,
but it is so close it does not make sense to create a separate request
in my mind.
