[opensuse] Correct place for alias ls='ls --group-directories-first --color=auto' system wide? bash.bashrc.local?

Listmates,
For some reason directories are no longer sorted with the directories
first by
default in 11.0. Where is the correct place to put this system wide setting.
/etc/bash.bashrc.local seems like the proper place, but I thought I would check
with the gurus....
(can't be /etc/profile.local, that only gets called for login shells right?)
