[opensuse] factory update ate my kernel headers

I did a factory update and it installed a new kernel and headers
(opensuse 11.3 2.6.32-3). Unfortunately that kernel doesn't seem to
work as my wifi networking doesn't come up and the system is generally
hosed. It left my 11.2 kernel (2.6.31.8-0.1) as default so there is no
real problem but the kernel headers no longer work. I've removed the
2.6.32-3 kernel-source and kernel-desktop-devel packages and reinstalled
the 2.6.31 rpms. Still no dice. any suggestions? I'd really like to
avoid doing a reinstall, but just in case I'm backing up home.
