BTW, though I'm in USA, on Linux I have had 'export LC_TIME=en_DK' in .bashrc
many many years. Looks like maybe I need to add 'export LC_DATE=en_DK' as
well to fix the Linux version, which gets the header pane format right, but
not the compose attribution line. Dunno when I can try that, because that
machine's RAM just went bad and I'm trying to process RMA to Crucial before
the mail comes, killing some time waiting on memtest by doing email.

AFAIK, there is no such thing as LC_DATE; running locale only shows the
following entries:

LANG
LC_ADDRESS
LC_ALL
LC_COLLATE
LC_CTYPE
LC_IDENTIFICATION
LC_MEASUREMENT
LC_MESSAGES
LC_MONETARY
LC_NAME
LC_NUMERIC
LC_PAPER
LC_TELEPHONE
LC_TIME

Cheers.
