Tell me again why I should be using Dolphin rather than Konqueror as a file manager. Dinosaur brains are geared for eating and eviscerating. You can tell: there's a lot of us about.
You can use whichever tool suits you best. Konq and Dolphin are both a part of KDE4, and according to the devs, will remain so. They target different user types, and do a similar job in different ways. Poke Google a bit on this and you turn up blog entries from the KDE devs like this one: http://aseigo.blogspot.com/2007/02/konqueror-not-vanishing-news-at-11.html (yes, it's old, but what is written there still applies). Personally, after using Dolphin for a file manager for a while, I find KDE3's Konq to be a poor cousin in most (but not all areas). Yes there are things missing, but with each KDE4 release, stuff that we as a community are requesting in bug reports is showing up... just not all at once.
