Thanks for the replies and suggestions.
It didn't work for me. I just got the update this morning, installed,
rebooted and the exact same happens for me.
I get asked to enter my password once me, I press OK, KNetworkmanager
tries to connect and gives up and give me the message unavailable.

Thanks, Will!! The work around did the trick! Now, I'll see how long I
can stay connected. One of the problems we've had in the past in
KNetworkmanager hasn't wanted to stay connected.
