Also you might want to look at this:
http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/ You can use the net install disc
which is ~100mb to test. You might have to manually download the iso
from opensuse.org first if they haven't added the info for 11.2 yet.
Honestly if the LAN doesn't work during install it probably won't work
after (except for wifi, most need some sort of driver or fimrware)
