"Simply" create an xorg.conf file, and put there whatever you need to
override the automatic
detection. The file doesn't need to contain the entire configuration, just
the changed "lines" or
sections.

I don't know if it is documented how exactly to do it, but it has been
known for months, in the
factory list at least.

But of course - EVERYONE, including those who have never installed
openSUSE but are about to, reads the factory list and therefore knows
all about the 'smoke and mirrors' regarding xorg.conf in 11.2 :-) .

- - No need. You know very well that things work right first time, no need to
configure displays any
more. It's all automatic now. Easier for first time users.

- - Er... excuse me... I think mine doesn't work right...

- - Crumbs.

:-P

I see that you also can see the funny side of all of this :-D . Good to see.
