The installation went without incident and the machine rebooted normally during the installation. However, after I removed the installation DVD and rebooted the machine I got Grub error 17 and the boot just stat there.
File: grub.info, Node: Stage2 errors, Prev: Stage1.5 errors, Up: Troubleshooting 17 : Cannot mount selected partition This error is returned if the partition requested exists, but the filesystem type cannot be recognized by GRUB. Are you using ext4? The standard, non suse grub, or the oS 11.1 grub, does not support ext4. Perhaps you still have the old grub installed with the new configuration. - -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E.
