[opensuse] no xserver and invalid repo in opensuse 11.2

I have just tried to install 11.2 on my hp tc4200 laptop (intel 915
graphic card), but no luck. I have restarted network intallation from my
usb stick a couple of times, ending with the same 'black screen' and
login prompt.
Starting sax2 from the cli, both times, i see the program terminating because 'it cannot find the pcidata module'.
I have no idea about the meaning of that.
Moreover, starting yast2, i am warned that the non-oss repo url is invalid and that it cannot find a temp file in /var or something like that.
I am wondering whether the two facts are correlated.
Anyway, after inspection, the 'non-oss' repo seems quite similar to the 'oss' one.
Those lines have been set by the installation procedure. How could they be wrong?
Thank you
