You do have, Fred. Just not the type/format that you had. It has been called the *hard* way, but is only a download and a commandline execution of a script which requires several yes or no answers to questions. Really difficult.
Maybe a better answer, nvidia is not part of openSUSE, but a convenience that (iiuc) Novell provided in collusion with nVidia.
Patrick......once again, we who are USED to openSUSE have to look way beyond the end of our noses! I can build the driver....that is NOT the point! The point is that it SHOULD be available via Yast, without having to manually add a site......PERIOD! Reviewers, those coming from other distros. and newbies to Linux are going to "barf" on this one. The site SHOULD have been added, as well as the ATI site, in the Community Repos. as per 11.1. How many MickySoft users do you think will know how to add an ftp address into Yast? Right......NOT many. The fist stated mission of the devs. for 11.2 was the easiest disto. to install and use......close to word for word. NOT have these 2 repositories EASILY available. Now, for the good stuff......most everything is great with 11.2.....except for networkmanager (wifi) and a broken hplip. I haven't noted anything else. Fred -- A REVOLUTIONARY IDEA!
