The Spanish mirrors are serving at a whopping 62Kb/s. Maybe you are not in a third world country and expect more;-)
I think installing RC1/RC2 when there was not such a rush was the way to go. My update to 11.2 today (done after the 11.2 release, even though I think I could have done so earlier) took 15 minutes.
Next week I am going to try 10.3->11.0->11.1->11.2. Unless there is a shortcut.
I hope that someone will either support me or correct me, but I am sure that I read a while back that the difference between one version and another - and I think it had to do with the KDE desktop - that a straight 'upgrade' would result in something close to doom and gloom. Never upgrading but always installing fresh, I did not pay too close an attention to what was written at the time so, please, correct me.
