Listmates,
In kde4 is there a way that widgets can be set to show on top of other windows when you click them? I wouldn't want them "always on top", but when I can just see the corner of the analog clock widget or the forecast, I would like to click them and have them come to the top like other windows.
Doable? [[ $ANS == yes ]] && how?
Well, you can't do it with a single one, but you can bring them all to the front temporarily by means of the "show plasma dashboard" button. There's a key combination, too, but I forget what it is.
You probably already knew this, but just in case.
Another nifty thing you might now already but I just found out about, is that if you right click the Pager applet and open its settings, you can configure it to show either the desktop (hide all windows) or the widgets (dashboard mode), when you click the currently active desktop on the pager. So you don't have to add the show dashboard/desktop widgets as I have been doing until now.
