Hi,
I don't play many dvd's on my laptop computer so I don't know how long
this has been going on. I have installed on this computer Opensuse 11.1
with the 64bit system. I used opensuse community one click install for
restricted formats. I can view the video but can't hear any sound when
I play a dvd.

I redid the one click install after I found the problem, and that didn't
fix it. I then updated programs and that still didn't fix it.

I have tried several dvd disks to make sure it isn't a problem with the
dvd.

I also tried to play the dvd on my desktop Opensuse 11.1 system with 32
bit, and the dvd plays fine there. On it, I can hear sound and see
video.

On the laptop, I opened kmixer to make sure that the appropriate inputs
from the dvd were set to allow sound, and they were.

I wonder if anyone knows what might be wrong and how to fix it.

Thanks
