I have an HP 5610 Officejet AllInOne that works very well. It has scanner, copier, document feeder, color, b&w, works with 11.1 and earlier with SANE and will send and receive fax.
Regarding "receive fax": Of course the device can receive a fax stand-alone. As far as I know HPLIP supports only "PC fax send" but it does not yet support "PC fax receive" i.e. that an incomming fax gets somehow forwarded from the all-in-one device to the PC or that a fax which was received by the all-in-one device can be directly downloaded from there to the PC. When a fax was received by the device, one would have to place the fax-printout on its scanner unit to get it as fax-image into the PC. Compare http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/models/officejet/officejet_5600_series.... --------------------------------------------------------------------- Fax supported means that PC initiated fax send is supported using hp-sendfax, once an appropriate CUPS fax queue is set up. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Kind Regards Johannes Meixner -- SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, Maxfeldstrasse 5, 90409 Nuernberg, Germany AG Nuernberg, HRB 16746, GF: Markus Rex -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
